3D Printed Camera by Schlem
The future of cameras is upon us!
Local Seattle-ite Schlem recently brought his latest 3D printed creation, the P6*6, to our store. This little pin-hole camera is constructed almost entirely of 3D printed parts, is easy to operate and very, very portable. We were all particularly impressed with the elegent simplicity of Schlem’s design and the camera’s rugged build quality. If you’ve ever wanted to try out pin-hole photography and have access to a 3D printer, this camera is a unique way to get started.
Utilizing 120 film, the shots that come out of this camera are great and offer a fun, DIY alternative to cameras like the Holga and Diana. Check out Schlem’s P6*6 design as well as his other 3D printed camera creations at http://www.thingiverse.com/schlem/designs. Along with all of the necessary 3D printer files, he’s included quite a bit of documentation to help new users operate his cameras for best results. You can also check out some of the great shots taken with the P6*6 at his Flickr page. Thanks Schlem for sharing your great design with us! Keep ’em coming…
