The Contax G system was the first to give Leica a serious run for it’s money, and some might say that Contax/Zeiss surpassed the quality benchmark set by the Weztlar made optics. The clean Contax G1 shown here is factory “green label” modified to work with the newer 35mm f/2 Planar that was produced concurrent with the Contax G2. Again, the 90mm f/2.8 Sonnar seen here is a world class optic. If you want a super compact system with optical quality of the highest standards, the Contax G system represents a serious option, at bargain prices.
