While, not for everyone, a Rollei 35 can be a lifelong image making companion. These little dynamos have one of the finest lenses to grace a 35mm camera, and a small one at that. At one point, the Rollei 35 was the smallest “full frame” 35mm camera being produced. A few cameras came along that were a little smaller (like the Minox 35, Ricoh FF-1, and the LOMO) but these were toys by quality comparison, and those cameras are rarely found working today. By contrast, it’s a rare day when a Rollei 35 comes through the door that can’t be serviced into top working condition. Rollei 35’s were made by the same company that produced the venerable Rolleiflex twin-lens cameras that produced so many of the 20th century’s iconic imagery. With a Rollei 35, you can’t go wrong.
